Eyes on Me
Remember Rinoa and Squall in the scene where they got onboard on an Airship called Ragnarok? If you’re an FF fan you know how nostalgic this song is that if you hear it you definitely want to play the game over and over again. “Eyes on Me” is a pop ballad performed by Chinese singer Faye Wong as an original soundtrack for the video game Final Fantasy VIII. The music was composed by Nobuo Uematsu with English lyrics by Kako Someya. Inside the game’s storyline, this song was written by a character named Julie Heartilly (Mother of Rinoa) a pianist whom she dedicated the song to his love interest, Laguna Loire. Julie was inspired to write this song because of how Laguna gazes into her while she’s playing the piano but unfortunately they didn’t end up together. The song was released as a CD single in Japan. It was the first song in video game history to win an award at the 14th Annual Japan Gold Disc Awards, where it won Song of the Year in 2000 and sold over 500,000 copies; placing it on the best-selling video game music disc ever released.
Melodies of Life
My favorite FF game soundtrack, if you played this game this song will make your heart melt when you hear it. A melody of Life is the main theme song of Final Fantasy IX. The song was composed by Nobuo Uematsu and sung in both Japanese and English by Emiko Shiratori. In-game, the song is associated with the summoners village of Madain Sari, and also a love theme between Zidane Tribal and Garnet Til Alexandros XVII. Game cinematic is about 90% music and without a doubt one of Uematsu’s most effective composition. I also think that the song is all about love, hatred, sorrow, and happiness that they encountered in life. A great song you must definitely listen to.
Suteki Da Ne
Suteki da ne the theme song of Final Fantasy X. It was written by Nobuo Uematsu and Kazushige Nojima and was sung by Japanese folk singer Ritsuki Nakano, known as “RIKKI” in its original Japanese form in both the Japanese and English versions of Final Fantasy X. The song’s title translates to “Isn’t It Wonderful?” in English, and its lyrics were written by scenario writer Kazushige Nojima while Uematsu composed the instrumentals and Shirō Hamaguchi arranged the instrumentals. Like the ballad from Final Fantasy 8, It was also the first title in the main FF series in which Uematsu was not the sole composer. The Final Fantasy X Original Soundtrack was released in 2001 by DigiCube and was re-released in 2004 by Square Enix on North America.

1000 words has three versions on the game’s original soundtrack, the version Yuna sings on the Thunder Plains, an instrumental piano version of the Luca sphere theater, and a longer, orchestrated version, that plays during the game’s ending credits. The song was written by Kazushige Nojima, Noriko Matsueda, and Takahito Eguchi. The Japanese version is sung by Koda Kumi and the English version by Jade Villalon from German pop group Sweetbox. The best FMV where this song was sung is in game English version where she performs on Thunder plains then suddenly “Lenne” Yuna’s past life counterpart appears alongside and they perform together. The songs always have a goose bumps effect on me maybe because the cinematic is outstanding and the voice of the singer is so strong. It’s hard to explain, but you can really feel Yuna‘s feelings for Tidus in this song.
