I’m not into Chinese horoscopes but there are interesting things in them that catches my attention. This year 2016, we will be celebrating the year of the Fire Monkey on the 8th of February. Just as I said, I’m not into Chinese horoscopes and definitely not born in the year of the primates but understanding and discovering some facts about it can undeniably blow your mind so here they are: The 10 facts in the year of the Monkey.

  1. The year of the monkey is the ninth symbol of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar, next to Goat and before Rooster.
  1. Chinese zodiacs have elements and Monkey is of the metal sign. In personality, people with this element are generally having a great deal of confidence and are resolute in their drive of success. No wonder why some famous personalities born under this sign are best on what they do like the Philippine politician Benigno Aquino Jr., the Hollywood star Will Smith, and even the wrestling superstar Triple H.
  1. You might be wondering why Channing Tatum acts in a manner that we don’t seem to comprehend easily because of his face that seemed to be straight forward or somewhat “emotionless”. I know that some of these facts were not entirely good and their origins are just fables from our ancestors, but look at the bright side and see for yourself. I haven’t met a person under this symbol who’s not clever at something. Whether we’re born with this symbol or not, we have to exercise our creativity like a monkey and learn how to be un-egoistic. And that is not just another monkey talk.
