The hardest thing next to decision making is waking up early in the morning. We usually get too attached on our bed and don’t want to get up especially when we stay late at night. Starting your day is a serious matter, for the reason that it can affect your whole day efficiency. Preparing yourself mentally and physically is necessary to have a better life. Here are some steps on how to have a great day ahead of you.

Start with a prayer

Prayer is a powerful weapon we can equip ourselves; give appreciation to our lord who provide us a new day to live. An early morning prayer helps refresh your spirit, soul and body. Your body is rested and prepares itself for the work of the day. Your mind is also refreshed from the cares, worries and problems of the previous day. It also helps your mind to generate a positive point of view. Start your day with this routine and you’ll definitely feel the difference. Having God in your life can make your day dynamic and full of life.

Exercise

It’s time to take care of your physical health. Exercising is the best way to do it. When you exercise early in the morning, it boosts up your metabolism and keeps it elevated for hours, sometimes up to 24 hours. That means you’re burning more calories all day long just because you exercised in the morning. Research has demonstrated that exercise increases mental sharpness. On average it lasts four to ten hours after exercise. Also it feels great; you should make it a habit.

Take a cold shower

To refresh yourself, take a shower, if you have to. A cold shower has plenty of immediate benefits and provides a definite wake-up jolt, but the greatest benefits in long term health. Taking showers have also been shown to relieve depression and ease stress. Showering in the morning will leave your face clean for most of the day, which is especially helpful for those with oily skin. It is good for our blood circulation and it as well loosens the tension in our muscles and joints. In addition it keeps your hair cuticles closed which makes the hair stronger and prevents dirt from easily accumulating within your scalp.

Eat you breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It provides you with the energy boost and nutrients that lead to increased concentration in work. Healthy breakfast can also make you even more focused and productive. Studies show that the greatest benefits of eating breakfast every morning is that it can maintain a healthy body weight.

 Prepare

After you power-up your mental and physical state, prepare your things and yourself for work. Preparing is not that complicated, just think of whatever things to be done and the things you should bring for work. Proper order of things can help you train and develop your self-assurance and skills. Wearing something good-looking can boost your charm and confidence that helps you to be more productive in your workplace.

 Just don’t for get to smile. Studies show that smiling, forced or not, can have a positive effect on your mood, decrease stress levels, and even make everyone around you feel better. Smiling actually makes you more attractive. Moreover, smiles are contagious.
