Self-Improvement for A Better You

better-self-better-worldIn each day of our lives, we are bound to learn something new. There are all sorts of development opportunities to learn, to develop, and to grow. Thus, never will it be advisable for everyone to stop from learning. We all must make it a habit to ask ourselves before we go to sleep, “What have I learned today?”

As the quote says, “Everyday is a learning process,” and by then, we must not stop to discover what else the world can offer us as long as it will not harm others.

Self esteem creates a happier and a more positive person with a superior mindset built for success. It gives you a much greater ability to influence your life, vocation and the people around you in a mutually beneficial way.

Moreover, self-esteem is important because it can be an intellectual and educational process. It will definitely improve your life skills.

Self improvement can also be a self-help people with emotional and psychological problems that may be hindering their personal growth and preventing them from being successful.

Here are a few ways to become better:

Read a book every day. Books are concentrated sources of wisdom. The more books you read, the more wisdom you expose yourself to. Reading books keep your brain functional and it may bring you to other parts of the world without leaving your place.

bettLet go of the past. Past is just history. If the past will not be helpful for your life anymore then, it’s definitely time for you to erase it from your mind. Is there any grievance or unhappiness from the past which you have been holding on? If so, let it go. Holding on to them prevents you from moving on and becoming a better person.

aaShow kindness to people around you. A simple act of kindness can make another person’s life better too. Being kind helps us to cultivate other qualities such as compassion, patience and love. Chances are you will feel even better about yourself. If you can’t be kind to others then don’t be mean as well.

act_of_kindnessGet out of your comfort zone. Doing something outside your comfy side leads you to open new doors and opportunities. Real growth comes with hard work and sweat. Being too comfortable doesn’t help us grow, it makes us idle. Shake your routine up. Do something different by exposing yourself to a new context; you’re literally growing as you learn to act in new circumstances.

adventure_is_out_there_by_heatherr_lynn-d2xvvx3Overcome your fears. All of us have fears – fear of uncertainty, fear of risk, fear of lack, etc. All our fears keep us in the same position and prevent us from growing. Fears are the compass for growth. If you have a fear about something, it represents something you’ve yet to address and addressing it helps you to grow.

feLevel up your skills. If you are at level 1 today, make sure that you at least be at level 5 a year after. You can’t be on the same level forever because it will leave you stagnant. It is in your hand to level up.

building-skillsAvoid negative people. These people are no people. Like come on! There is an abundance of what life can offer. Wherever we go, we are bound to be around negative people. Don’t spend too much of your time around them. They will drag you down. It’s not healthy to live full of pessimism. Stay positive!

hatersTake a break. Self-improvement is also about recognizing our need to take a break to walk the longer mile ahead. Take some time off for yourself every week. Relax, rejuvenate and charge yourself up for what’s up ahead.

Now, I realized that it’s just a piece of cake 😀
    Thankyou for those tips 🙂

  6. How delightful that everyone has their own way of improving themselves, may it be sports or adventure, everyone deserves to learn. A human brain is big enough to understand things that the human needs and forget what the human locks his feet. And by that, everything moves harmoniously which creates a good picture of how bright can thing be.

  7. These are all great tips which I truly appreciate. Love your positivity! One thing I am not consistent is reading a book everyday. With technology, everything is online and we consume data in snippets.

If I may add another tip which is close to my heart, Always see the glass as half full ALL THE TIME.

  8. I love these tips, there is plenty of wisdom in each one of them. I do try to apply them, but sometimes it is so hard to overcome your fears and keep on fighting, expecially when there are all kind of bad and discouraging things happening to you.
